Reading School Assembly:

“Bounce Into A Good Book”

Nurturing a love of reading and becoming a life-long learner are some of the most important traits a person can develop. Jim was a struggling reader and spent the first 10 years of his schooling in Special Education. He knows the importance and the impact reading has on a person’s life. Jim never stopped trying and never stopped reading. He eventually graduated at the top of his class in college. He is now the author of four books and an Amazon Best Selling Author.

Jim will focus on the importance of creating good reading habits and daily reading to becoming a great reader. “You don’t have to be great to start, but if you don’t start you’ll never be great.” Kids will skip, dance and ball in this fun assembly. Jim will also share his children’s book series Bouncy and Friends

March is National Reading Month and Jim’s schedule always books solid, so book your reading assembly early. Also, your students will have a chance to pre-order autographed copies of Jim’s children’s books that he will personally deliver to them on the day of your program. Students and teachers love his books!

What your students will learn

The Importance of Reading - Daily reading is a healthy habit that can inspire creativity and imagination.

Give Your best Effort: Set a goal to read so many minutes each day and go for it. Make a plan where you’re going to read, what you’re going to read and how long you’re going to read.

Have fun with ReadingReading what you love and writing what you know will make learning exciting. Make a fun reading area.

We All Matter: We all matter and contribute to the success of our school’s reading program. If one person feels left out or feels they don’t matter then we can’t become our best. Let’s support each other to reach our reading goal.

“Let it Go” We can all feel self-conscious about our reading. Just go for it and keep reading. You will be amazed how you will improve!
