Leadership School Assembly:

“I am a Leader”

Jim has been studying Leadership and Self Help ever since he was introduced to the concepts as a young boy as his parents helped him overcome his learning challenges. The principles he learned over decades of study are the cornerstones of the “Leader in Me” program and have been included in his presentations for over 25 years. Jim’s leadership presentations are so effective that many schools book him year after year.

This is a fun and active assembly that allow students to get up and be involved. Some students will lead and some will follow, but all of them will have fun.

"My 7 Habits Leader In Me school hosted Jim Basketball Jones in a motivational, fun assembly about the importance of perseverance. We have hosted him many times throughout the years and have always loved his enthusiastic message. He catered to our 7 Habits initiative and added a personal, relevant experience to this presentation. As a parent and a teacher, I couldn't adore this message any more. Every school should have the awesome experience of the kindness and respect he spreads. It is truly contagious.

What your students will learn

Apply Kindness - Take action to be kind by Doing Something Kind. Kindness sends a message that says, you’re important, you matter and I care.

Mistakes are Okay:  Kids sometimes feel they have to be perfect and they can’t make any mistakes. This adds pressure and causes anxiety. Mistakes are a sign of effort and a “critical” part of learning.

Own Your Effort:  Effort is the key to learning and improving. We can’t control everything, but we can control our effort.

Just Try:You don’t have to be great to try, but if you don’t try you’ll never be great.” – Jim “Basketball” Jones

PerseveranceFail forward, don’t fail apart. Keep going! Keep trying! Keep learning! Keep Growing!
